Change your thinking!
This morning I had all the time, no schedules of any kind. I was standing upstairs corridor and thinking "damn it's dark". I didn't move for a while, just stood there until I started to see, there was light. I took my camera cause I see better through the lens and clearly there was light. Most people might have said that's total "bullshit" that is not light but it was, you just have to see it. Take the time, change your thoughts and the light is there, trust me! It is very delicate, shy and it wants to play with you hide and seek but if you have the patience you will catch it.
No more grey days, you just have to change your thinking, have a great week!
Beautifully put Henrietta - of course I love your greys and silvers, always my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI too saw light this morning, it was definitely there - brilliant Autumn sunshine pouring through the dining room window. Light with shadows and reflections, early in the day, cheering me after such a sad week just gone - one we hope is not repeated.
I posted this morning - take a look when you have time.
Have a wonderful week dear friend - it will be Thanksgiving here this Thursday, I have much to be so thankful for. Your photos always bring me joy.
Hugs - Mary
Thank you dear Mary. Last week was sad as so many other incidents before and still going on but we must fight with love as best as we can and not letting the terror come in our lives. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, thank you for stopping by and letting me know how are you.

Lovely use of natural light, Henrietta!
ReplyDeleteThank you Liz. This kind of thing is not what I normally do but there is nothing outside right now to shoot so have to concentrate inside home things and find the way to see something. This was good, simple practice, everyday things which I don't normally see...things are there but you don't see them until you stop.
DeleteIn my house, I'm always saying, "There's no light!" I love your low-light photos, Henrietta! Did you take them with the Brownie???
ReplyDeleteThank you Evelyn and that is exactly what I'm saying every year this time but there is light :) These are taking digital camera of course not with Brownie. It is only for decoration but I have tried it once while I was studying and had a darkroom in my use so I could actually develop the film and pictures.
DeleteOh, yes! I love your post! :-)
ReplyDeleteLight is always!
Have a great day
