Siena, Italy

Pari kuvaa kevään reissulta Italiaan. Sillonhan tuli spruutattua niin paljon jotta taitaa riittä vielä moneksi. Kyllä sitä kyllästyy kun on parituhatta kuvaa mutta kun pitää taukoa ni sitten on taas kiva kaivaa esiin, hieman editoida ja näyttää teille Nämö pari ovat siis Siennasta.

Few pictures from Italy from my spring trip. I took so many pictures that I can show you them the whole year now and then. You know, if you have few thousand pictures to edit in the same trip you get bored to them and really want to see them ever again! After some break it is nice to watch them again and edit few and show to you:)

Kim's theme was orange. These pictures are from Copenhagen in July. The edits on both pictures are the same. I forgot to write to the copy of the background layer that I used gaussion blur on it.

Touch Up Tuesday

Helsingin Musiikkitalo

Musiikkitalon avajaiset lähestyy ja sain kunnian käydä kierroksella ennen avajaisia. Tässä on joitain kuvia mun näkökulmastani. Minä pidin talosta, uutta ja hienoa mutta jokaisella tulee varmasti olemaan omat mielipiteensä katsoo sitten telkkarista tai paikanpäällä. En ole mikään asiantuntija musiikin suhteen mutta sen kymmenen minsaa minkä olin pääsalissa RSO:n harjoitusten aikana karvat nousi pystyyn ja se toimii meikäläisen mittarina:) Tuntu että musiikki menee sieluun asti ja keuhkoissa kumisee ja silmät alkaa valumaan liikutuksesta. Torstaina pääsee kuuleen oikein konsertin ja varmaan pitää ottaa nenäliinaa mukaan suurten tunteiden varalle. Näin kymmenen minsan suurella kokemuksella suosittelen käymään konsertissa vaikka ihan kokemuksen vuoksi jossei muuten. 

Katso avajaiset telkkarista YLE1 ke 31.8 klo 18.25-20.25. Esiintyjinä Sibelius-Akatemia, HKO, RSO ja huippuna kaikkien yhteisesitys Finlandia (tuossa yhteisesityksessä viimeistään meikäläisen karvat seisoo ja silmät vuotaa torstaina).

New Helsinki Music Centre is opening on Wednesday. I did have a pleasure to see house before openings and here are some pictures. It is so nice to shoot quite house even there were several builders and workers to do some final things. In the main concert hall the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra was rehearsing and I'm not really any kind of expert about classical music but I did have goose pumps. It felt like music went under my skin you know. I think I have take some napkins with me to the openings cause I think I might burst in to the tears just for the power of the music. Acoustic design is by Nagata Acoustics the same one who has design the Walt Disney Concert Hall and many many others. I'm so thrilled to go the second opening night and listen to three different classical orchestra playing.

Nancyn uusi haaste on ottaa kolme kuvaa samasta aiheesta. Tämä on uus haaste ja pidän siitä että voi laittaa kolme kuvaa samasta kohteesta, hukkaprosentti pienenee:) Kaikkihan ottaa monen monituista kuvaa samasta aiheesta ihan varmuuden vuoksi joten nyt niille on jopa käyttöäkin. Kuvasin ihan muuten vaan näitä vanhoja suomalaisia postikortteja männä viikolla ja nehän sopi kuin nenä päähän tähän teemaan. Kortit on Loviisasta ja tuossa näkyy maisema Kasinopuistosta kortin mukaan jos se jollekulle sanoo jotain!

Nancy has a new challenge, take 3 pictures from same theme (this week mail). I love the idea because we all take many many pictures from same subject and most of them just go waste, now I can use more of pictures and try different angles or what ever. I took these pictures this week, not for this challenge cause I didn't know it has began but they were just perfect for this. These are old finnish postcards from Loviisa, unfortunately there is no year when they have been made.

Tässä on aamukastetta joka on aina yhtä kuvauksellista. Jättipoimunlehti on vesipisaroiden kuvaamiseen varma nakki joka ei petä koskaan, niitä ei voi olla ihailematta. Lehden muoto on täydellinen keräämään pisaroita itseensä.

Here we have morning dew in Alchemilla mollis leaves. This is perfect plant for collect water drops, I always love to shoot them never get bored even I have so many pictures from them.

Jos joskus on sallittua sanoa että on aivan lääpällään omiin kuviinsa sanon sen nyt:) Otin nämä eilen ja jo kuvatessa tiesin että näistä tulee ihania, räjähtäviä värejä ja iloisia. Jotenkin kasaan ja tiivistän menneen kesän näihin kuviin. Tälläinen oli kesä; kuuma, tulinen, iloinen eli niinko rokkenrollia eller hur!?

Hauskaa viikonloppua ihmiset nautiskelkaa jos ootte vapaalla mie painan töitä.

I think it is sometimes allowed to say you love your own pictures and now I say it, I freaking love these shots:) I took them yesterday and that moment when I saw these through my camera I knew it, these going to be fabulous. Explosive colors, happy, hot, light etc. I think these shots represents this summer; hot , hotter and hottest freaking Rock'n Roll;)

By the way, can I use freaking as a power word....I'm not sure (remember english is not my language)!?

Have great weekend and I hope hurricane Irene will go away (who are living in it's way)  

Inspire color red

Tykkään punaisesta väristä kuin hullu puurosta. Joskus tullut kerrottua että meillä on makkarissa punaiset seinät, no ei kaikki seinät mutta kaksi vastakkaista pidempää seinää (ikkunat ja kaksoisovet tietysti rikkovat seinät) ja päätyseinät vaalean harmaata. Monet saattavat järkyttyä punaisesta makkarista mutta aina talven tullen ja varsinkin talvella se on elämän piristys. Punainen ei näytä ahtaalta eikä ahdistavalta kun kaikki muu on vaalea. Olkaa rohkeita ja kokeilkaa, aina saa maalattua valkoisella päälle:)

I love red color and here is corner of our bedroom and as you can see I have red walls, yes red! Two long sidewalls are red and the two other are light grey. Red gives energy in the morning and specially in winter time red is so much needed color. Most of you might think red is out of question but think out of the box and be brave, you can always paint the wall back to white.

We need more color to our lives!

Haaste aiheena sininen taivas tässä on pläjäys sinistä taivasta Italian maalta. Kuvattu keväisellä Toskanan reissullani. Hyvää viikonloppua ihmiset ja toivotaan meillekin sinistä taivasta jotta saadaan nautiskella ulkona olosta. 

Here is the blue skies like Italian way. I took this picture in my spring trip in Tuscany. Have a nice weekend everybody and lets hope we have blue skies also, so we can enjoy last summer days outside.
To LEM challege organic this is perfect too cause it is wine grapes they are growing there.

Finnish vacation edit

Loma haaste little somethings-blogissa sai kaiveleen kuvia et mikä kuvais suomalaista lomaa. Minusta nää on niinko jotenkin tyypillisiä kotomaisia kuvia jotka kuvastaa lomafiilistä täällä. Jokaisella on tietysti omat maisemansa ja lomansa mutta tässä on ainakin mulle niitä tärkeitä elementtejä joiden avulla pääsee loma fiiliksiin:) Haluan lomalle!

Little somethings has theme vacation. I went through my pictures from this summer here in Finland and I think these images presents finnish summer vacation quite well. Water is very important element in finnish summer ( we have 187 888 lakes) so people go to their summer cottages near by the lakes or sea. 

I want go on holiday:)

La Luna

Viime lauantainahan oli komia täyskuu ja pakkohan sitä oli tiirailla kamerankin läpi. Jotenkin sitä on vaan niin upea tuijottaa ja varsinkin kun pilvet liikku kauheeta vauhtia koko ajan. Fiilis oli vähän niinko lentävä kun vaan tuijotat ylös! (kuka sitä nappeja tarvii, tuijota taivaalle niin lähdet lentoon). 

Last Saturday we had a wonderful full moon that is just perfect for Kim's movie challenge, my movie is La Luna directed by Bernardo Bertolucci. I don't remember have I seen it or not but it doesn't matter, right.

 I think I'm really bored or exited for doing these. I made another texture for you to use free. Here are the examples how they look in Photoshop with different blending modes.

I think Google+ will be more photographic friendly than Facebook....who knows, that is just what I think.

So I love playing with textures and I just found a new blog for that.  Many of you know French Kiss textures but to me this is new. There is a challenge to use Purple Prose texture in your picture. You don't see much of purple in my photos but it is there:)

Here you can see what I did in a first picture, you see there is even two purple layers.

Lassi ja Leevi

Serkkuni sai poikavauvan ja näin hänet viikonloppuna yllättäen. Onneksi oli kamera matkassa ja sain napsittua pari kuvaa. Toi alin kuva on musta ihan ykkönen, se muistuttaa niin Lassi ja Leevi sarjiksen Lassin ilmeilyä:)

My cousin gave birth to a baby boy and I got see him last weekend. I got my camera with me so I did take few pictures. The last shot is my absolutely favorite, look at his face:) It's like from Calvin and Hobbes, don't you think so too!

Viimeisiä viedään

Pihan viimeisiä kukkia aletaan viemään mutta ainakin väreiltään ne ovat rajuimpia. Viimeiset puristukset räjähtivin värein,  ime itseeni nämä energiset värit ja varastoin talvea varten.

These seems to be the last flowers for this season. The colors are really powerful and full of energy. I restore this energy to myself for winter, then I need this.
