One Little Word

Shriveled carnation against the snow.
Macro Flowers Saturday badge 1

http://blueberrycraftandhobbytime.blogspot.com/2011/01/flowers-on-saturday-15.html

This was my original bunch of flowers in Christmas time. When they shriveled I thought it would be shame to trough them to away so I put them outside.

Then I started to freeze them.

They looked so beautiful inside the ice.

Here is the final result. It is not so amazing but you get amazing macro shot.
My word is create and this has been on going creative project for this week.

Toinen kuva on jouluksi ostamastani kukkakimpusta.

  11. Joskus on pitänyt kokeilla pakastaa jääkuutioihin orvokeita, että saisi kesämehuun kaunista viileyttä ja kilinää. Tämä on kiva talvikuvausidea mun lempiaiheesta, kukista!

  14. Very pretty...I love the shade of purple the flower is in your first photo! It's such a great idea to keep getting enjoyment from your flowers once they start to wilt...I've seen people do a similar thing here by creating outdoor lanterns of ice with flowers inside the ice. Beautiful!

And, yes...I'm hoping we'll get temperatures warm enough for some rain this coming week...I've had enough of this cold for a while, and it would be nice to prepare a skating rink for the kids in the front yard before it freezes again!
